Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am receiving medical care from a fertility specialist. I had a biopsy to rule out endometriosis as a cause after having two miscarriages. So they told me not to try to conceive the cycle I was scheduled for the biopsy. But I tried anyways because I was impatient. My query is does Ovidrel trigger shot administered 11 days before biopsy affect the results of the biopsy? I do not know if this is true or not. My result came negative for endometriosis but a positive overexpression for BCL6. Kindly help.

Hello,

I appreciate you signing up on icliniq.

You now have exclusive access to expert medical opinion. I want to inform you that an Ovidrel shot is associated with increased risk and stimulation for endometriosis. Also, the positive overexpression of BCL6 (B-cell lymphoma 6) is closely related to endometriosis. However, a negative biopsy for endometriosis and BCL6 overexpression has been strongly associated with unexplained poor reproductive infertility. I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for the reply.

Is there any treatment option for this other than Lupron medication? I saw the side effects of this medication and am worried.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Once more, thank you for allowing us to be of service to you.

We value the high level of confidence you have in us! The alternatives of Lupron (Leuprolide Acetate) are as follows: Tablet Orilissa (Elagolix). It should not be used continuously for more than six months as it can cause bone fragility and Zoladex (Goserelin) 3.6 mg injection. Kindly consult a specialist, talk to them, and take medications with their consent. I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
