Can psychological erectile dysfunction can lead to potential problems during childbirth due to incomplete penetration?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My wife is 22 years old and is due to give birth shortly. Something bothers me about childbirth. I had psychological erectile dysfunction, and it is now slowly getting better. Because of this, I was unable to penetrate my wife fully. My penis just partially entered her. However, she was able to conceive. I am now concerned about any potential issues during childbirth. She will soon be in her seventh month. What would happen to her if she is not fully penetrated even once during giving birth? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and can understand your concern.

In reality, pregnancy may occur just from semen entering the vagina. Penetration is unrelated and will not impact the baby in any way. The baby you are expecting will be healthy. So, relax and stop worrying.

I hope this helps.

Thank you and take care.
