Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I cannot maintain an erection during sex with my partner. I think I could not satisfy my partner.
Please help.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern about your symptoms.
According to your complaints, you may be suffering from erectile dysfunction (ED). Reasons for erectile dysfunction include:
Stress, work, or family-related duties.
Depression.
Varicocele.
Fear of failure - Having one episode of ED once may make you feel you will end up with ED.
Low self-esteem (chronic masturbation).
Homosexuality.
Religious constraints.
Smoking and alcohol.
Long-term illness, such as cardiac disease, thyroid disease, kidney disease, or any other disease, requires long-term medication.
Negative attitude towards your partner.
Hormonal issues such as thyroid issues, low testosterone.
Long-term drug usage.
Diabetes and hypertension.
I suggest you check the Doppler penis, USG (ultrasonography) pelvis, scrotum, blood pressure, thyroid profile, testosterone, and TSH (thyroid-stimulating hormone). Please share more details regarding the above reasons so we can work on diagnosis and treatment. You need to plan for regular exercise and a proper diet. Following is the list of exercises:
List of exercises such as:
1. Basic exercises: Kegels, squats, yoga, running, or fast walking for five minutes.
2. Missionary sex position: Planks, push-ups, mountain climbers, and glute bridges.
3. Standing sex position: Bicep curls, pull-ups, and jump squats.
4. Doggy style: Jump squats and walking lunges.
5. Cowgirl or the girl on top move: Glute bridges and leg raises.
I suggest you include foods such as strawberries, apples, avocados, sweet potatoes, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and a little chocolate in your diet. For a temporary solution, you can use tablet Tadalafil 5 mg twice a day. Consult your specialist doctor, discuss, and take the medicines with their consent.
I hope this helps you.
Revert in case of queries.
Regards.
