Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am a 28 year old unmarried male, who is suffering from premature ejaculation and erectile dysfunction. I do not get a hard erection during masturbation. And I ejaculate in less than 50 seconds. I once tried having sex, but I ejaculated during the foreplay itself, so I did not penetrate. My doctor advised me to take Aroxat CR 12.5 mg for 30 days. I want a second opinion, as I am going to get married in the next 15 days.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

  • Premature ejaculation is very common and is usually not associated with any disease, but it may be due to anxiety.
  • Sometimes, there may be a problem with the prostate gland and thyroid hormone. Most often it is a chronic problem and you have to take medicines. Also, there are exercises to control it.
  • You can learn to control quick discharge by pulling your muscles that you pull at the end of urination for few seconds then release, repeat this several times daily.
  • The stop-start technique, when you feel that you are going to ejaculate stop the sexual stimulation and divert your mind, the penis will relax, after some time, start the stimulation again and repeat the procedure. Over few months you will gradually increase your ejaculation time.
  • The drug prescribed by your doctor will control premature ejaculation but may decrease erection further, so after consulting your doctor, you can add Tadalafil.

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

  • Tadalafil and Paroxetine are often given together, but you should have a healthy heart. So please consult your doctor before taking the medicines.
