How to manage erection issues and get a prolonged erection?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been doing porn masturbation for a long time and now I have difficulty achieving and maintaining an erection. I have numbness in penis and I am not able to achieve prolonged erection for hours.

Please help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern about the symptoms you are experiencing. I suggest the following for your condition.

  1. Several factors can contribute to issues like erectile dysfunction, ranging from psychological stress (work-related, family stress, depression, fear of failure, low self-esteem) to physical causes (varicocele, long-term illness such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid, or kidney disease).
  2. Lifestyle habits like smoking, alcohol use, chronic masturbation, or a negative attitude toward the partner can also play a significant role. Hormonal imbalances like low testosterone or high prolactin, religious or personal beliefs, and even simple deficiencies (like vitamins or minerals) may contribute.
  3. It is advisable to undergo diagnostic tests such as a Doppler of the penis, ultrasound of the pelvis and scrotum, blood pressure check, blood sugar, thyroid profile, and testosterone levels to identify the root cause.
  4. You should also plan regular physical activity and maintain a healthy diet. Exercises such as squats, Kegels, yoga, planks, and glute bridges help strengthen the pelvic muscles and improve performance.
  5. Tailored exercises can support different sexual positions: planks and mountain climbers for missionary, jump squats and lunges for doggy style, or glute bridges and leg raises for cowgirl.
  6. A diet rich in strawberries, apples, avocados, sesame seeds, almonds, garlic, and a bit of chocolate can also support sexual health. For temporary relief, you can take a tablet, Mildfil (Tadalafil) 5 mg twice daily after consulting a specialist doctor.

I hope this information helps you.

Thank you.
