Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 33 years old with a height of 5 feet 4 inches. I am suffering from high blood pressure. A few days back, I did some blood tests. I am attaching a copy of the report.
Please suggest.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query and can understand your concern.
At the age of 33, you have high blood pressure. This is called essential hypertension. The cause is being overweight. It is crucial to decrease the weight.
Start walking at least three kilometers in 20 minutes.
Have a brisk walk in the morning.
Avoid spicy food.
Use less oil.
Fat is controlled with yoga done with perfect guidance. Do it for 20 minutes every day.
Take food in divided doses.
Add one bowl of salad before taking lunch as well as before dinner.
For breakfast, take two slices of brown bread, one apple, a glass of milk, or a cup of tea.
For lunch, add curd as it is good with a lot of Lactobacillus, which takes care of the mucosa and contains vitamin D.
You can take green vegetables.
You have not mentioned how high your blood pressure is. I have reviewed the hematological report (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). Sugar levels are fine. Your SGOT (Serum Glutamic-Oxaloacetic Transaminase) is normal, and SGPT (Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase) is slightly raised.
Are you taking any anti-hypertensive tablets?
You have not mentioned it. A liver function test (LFT) and lipid profile are good. Lipid profiles are very important. Derangements can give you an idea about atherosclerosis (buildup of fats, cholesterol and other substances in artery walls) and other heart conditions.
I hope this answers your query.
Let me know if I need to assist you further.
Thank you.
