Patient's Query

Hello,

I am suffering from excessive saliva in my mouth, so I consulted a medicine doctor last month. He prescribed me to take tablet ORNI 500. Initially, I felt better after taking medicine, but the problem started again. It makes me very uncomfortable. I notice that if I drink any hot tea or cold items, it creates more saliva. I am also suffering from itchy legs. I was diagnosed with NAFLD-grade-1. I take tablet Montek LC due to allergic rhinitis. Sometimes I feel a dull pain in my tongue also, which may be due to a small ulcer (not visible). Two days ago, I consulted with a doctor, and he advised me to take some medicines (copy attached). Kindly suggest something doctor for my condition.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

I feel sorry about your health condition. I suggest you the following measures-

1. You must stop taking hot liquids. You can drink warm liquids.

2. You must use salt water gargling thrice a day. You may be suffering from papillitis which will get relieved by saltwater gargling. It will take time to recover.

3. You must avoid spicy food, alcohol, hot drinks, and salty items.

4. You must avoid tobacco and smoking.

5. You may continue taking Riboflavin.

6. You can take tablet Levocetirizine with Montelukast 5 mg or 10 mg in case of itching in the legs.

I have gone through your previous prescription. It shows xerotic eczema in the legs, so you have to apply moisturizer cream on both legs. Cream like Dermadew aloe cream (aloe vera gel & glycerine) or Moisturex (urea, lactic acid, Propylene glycol, and liquid paraffin) may help.

7. For excessive salivation in emergency situations, I suggest you take a tablet Glycolate 1 mg once a day. This drug sometimes may lead to tachycardia and aggravate chest pain in heart patients, so better to take it after your doctor's advice.

Please review with upper GI (gastrointestinal) endoscopy and AEC (absolute eosinophil count) reports.

Take care.

Thank you.
