Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have masturbated since I am 14 years old. Now I am 26, but I feel sex anxiety. I always monitor my penis to see if it is okay or not. I read an article about masturbation causing erectile dysfunction. Since that day I felt so tensed and had excessive masturbation for the last two years. Most of the time my penis is erect but when I am anxious it does not get erect. I feel that I have weak pelvic floor. Wen I masturbate twice a day then there is no erection in the morning, But if I abstain for two to three days, then the erection is here. Is there a way to correct this problem? How can I lead a normal life? Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern

Masturbation is normal, ninety-five percent of male does that (out of a hundred male ninety-five male). It is just another way of having sex without a partner. It is a good practice, 1. It helps to relieve stress. 2. Boosts mood. 3. Improves sleep. 4. Helps to prevent depression and anxiety. 5. Relaxes the mind of a person. 6. Relieves pain and muscle cramps. 7. Relieves the sexual tension. 8. Improves the confidence of a person. 9. Allows one to have better sex. 10. Helps the person understand his needs and desires. 11. In females masturbation increases vaginal blood flow.Masturbation will not harm the penis, having it two to three times a week is not an issue, more than that can cause tiredness, loss of concentration, and sense of infertility.

Ways to reduce masturbation are discussed below: • Sex education. • Physical exercises. • Sleep adjustment. • Quality of sleep. • Healthy and balanced diet. • Programming for leisure time. • Development of spirituality. • Taking a cold bath. For tiredness or decrease in strength, I would suggest the following:

  1. Capsule Astymin Forte once a morning.
  2. Tablet Shelcal once a night after food for thirty days.

I hope this helps.

Thank you.
