How to manage allergy on the face?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I got a rash on my cheeks. I did skincare before I ate a leafy vegetable curry that I am allergic to three years ago. I had severe stomach pain, loose stools, and vomiting, but now my rash is not subsiding. I have been using Avil 25 mg since yesterday.

Thanks.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

I am sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body system. Regarding your symptoms, I believe you have developed atopic dermatitis from a possible food allergic reaction. Please take the following to help out:

Topical 0.2 % Dexamethasone cream for one month, two tablets of Ranitidine 300 mg for one week, and two tablets of Methylprednisolone 40 mg for one week. Reply to me if you have more concerns or questions by scheduling a direct appointment or following up via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this information will help you.

Thanks.
