Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a slight shiny red blister or sore on the side of my shaft. I occasionally get some white discharge and a smell from it. There is no pain. What can be the diagnosis?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have viewed the image (attachment removed to protect patient identity). I would keep a possibility of either erosive lichen planus or Zoon's balanitis, or a fixed drug eruption (FDE). Is there any recent history of intake of drugs or medicine? Are you sexually active?

I request you kindly upload a few more good-quality images of the affected area.

Patient's Query

Hi,

Thank you doctor.

I have not had any sex for over one year. However, I am sexually active. I was very concerned about this being herpes. A month back, I started taking Vitabiotics Neurozan Original to help with my exams. I only noticed the swelling last weekend. I should hear back about the tests sometime next week. I have sent some more images.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Perhaps this is most likely an FDE (fixed drug eruption) due to the recent drug intake. It does not really look like herpes in the images, but the STD (sexually transmitted diseases) tests would be conclusive.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
