Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I cannot hold my urine for too long. I have to go every hour instead of being able to wait for around six hours. It all started when I was pregnant, but it was worse than a normal pregnancy. I had to urinate very frequently.
A year after giving birth, I had an abortion using a black-market pill. Could this be related to that?
Please help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have gone through your query and understand your concern.
Frequent urination can be caused by a variety of factors, and it is important to consider a few possibilities in your case.
Given that this issue began during your pregnancy and has persisted afterward, there could be a connection to pregnancy-related changes, such as pelvic floor weakness or bladder sensitivity, which is common.
However, it is also possible that other factors, including urinary tract infections (infections that happen when bacteria, often from the skin or rectum, enter the urethra and infect the urinary tract) or pelvic health issues, could be contributing to your symptoms.
The use of black market pills for abortion raises additional concerns. I would recommend that you schedule a consultation with a healthcare provider to discuss your symptoms and undergo an evaluation. You can also get the following labs done:
Urine complete examination.
CBC (complete blood count).
Random blood sugar (RBS).
In the meantime, make sure to stay well hydrated and avoid any irritants like caffeine or alcohol, which can worsen urinary frequency.
I hope I have answered your question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
Thank you.
