Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have been suffering from frequent urination problems and bladder irritations for a long time.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query. I understand your concern. This is likely to be chronic prostatitis. It is due to inflammation of the prostate gland. I suggest you take tablet Ciprofloxacin (quinolone antibiotics) 500 mg twice daily for two weeks, tablet Tamsulosine (alpha-blocker) 0.4 mg once at night for 30 days, and tablet Celecoxib (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug) 200 mg twice daily for 30 days. I hope your symptoms will improve and you can take a supplement for the prostate.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

Is it a dangerous sign, doctor? All the required test reports are normal, but the problem still exists. So should I take those medicines?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

It is not dangerous. It is inflammation, and yes, you need the treatment.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Should I start those medicines today?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

High potassium or potassium diet can cause an overactive bladder. My suggestion is to wait for one week after finishing potassium supplements and see if symptoms persist then only can you start the medications. Bone medications do not interfere with bladder function.

I hope this has helped you. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

No doctor potassium course has already been completed. So should I start those medicines? Earlier I have taken lots of medicines regarding the same problem. I am taking Soliten 5 mg, which I stopped just two days back since there was no change in the problem.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Those medicines are prescribed for chronic prostatitis, and the only thing which contradicts using them is an allergy to them which is rare. It is different from the medication you took. There is no worry. You can start it.

I hope this has helped you.

Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
