Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I got some fungal infection in my inner thigh area. I think it is called a jock itch. It is very itchy, especially at night. Please help. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern. Yes. The condition is known as tinea cruris (jock itch or ringworm infection) or dermatophytosis. It is a type of superficial skin fungal infection. It can affect the groin, buttocks, skin area, and nails. I suggest you use the following medicines for two weeks, then follow-up (consult with a specialist doctor, talk with him or her and take medicines with their consent). Take Capsule Itraconazole 100 mg twice a day. Use Cream Luliconazole apply once at night. Take Tablet Levocetirizine 5 mg once at night. Keep your clothes, including the towel, separately. Follow-up is after two weeks. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
