Can acidity trigger headaches and cause bloating?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am facing problems like severe acidity, fatigue, and headache after meals. I even have low blood sugar levels. In addition, I feel bloated for more than four hours after every meal.

Kindly help me.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com

You seem to be suffering from slow digestion as a result there is an excessive production of gas which is causing you to feel bloated. I would advise you to avoid spicy food. Increase the intake of fiber and fluids in your diet. Take small frequent meals and do not keep large gaps between meals. Avoid consumption of alcohol if you have any such habit. Take tablet Prilosec 30 minutes before meals if you feel very bloated.

Regards.
