Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I have generalized anxiety disorder. I experience anxiety attacks, but how do I know if they are not panic attacks caused by my anxiety? I am not sociable; I have no friends, no girlfriend, no kids. I avoid people and have a hard time being around them. I shake uncontrollably; it is hard for me to hold my spoon steady, and it often falls off. A feeling comes over my face, and it feels like my whole head is being pulled tight. My hands get very cold and feel sweaty. I also have tremors. I do not sleep well; I feel tired all the time, and I wake up sweating.
Kindly help.

I am here to give you the best care possible.

You may have a small circle of friends who are all close to you. Due to your introverted nature, you may lack confidence and suffer from an inferiority complex. It is important to accept yourself and work on self-improvement. You should try following the healthy guidelines below to build your confidence and address your anxiety issues:
If your symptoms persist after following this advice for four to six weeks, consider starting medications for a short duration.
Hope I have clarified your query. I will be happy to help you further.
Thank you.
