Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my genital warts removed a few months ago. I am scared as they seem to appear again. I have attached the recent pictures. Please tell me if it is just a scar or a recurrence of warts? Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through the attached pictures (attachments removed to protect patient's identity). They appear like a recurrence as the surface appears more like warts. I suggest you consult your dermatologist again. I hope this helps. Kindly get back in case of further questions. Thank you.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Thank you for your response. The pictures may not be clear due to poor lighting. Does it look like a recurrence? I have not seen any changes over the past several months. Kindly advise.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Warts tend to show very slow growth. If you can feel something raised, the surface being ridged or groovy, and the entire thing feeling soft like your ear lobe, it can be a wart. However, if it is firm and flat like your nose tip, it could be a scar. It can best be concluded only when seen in person. Hence, I suggest you consult a nearby dermatologist for a better diagnosis. I hope this helps. Do revert in case of further doubts. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
