Can Glycopyrrolate cure excess salivation?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 20 years old, male, 72 kg, 6 feet, suffering from excess salivation from a month. I took Glycopyrrolate 1 mg. Please give your advice on this drug or suggest a better drug.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Excessive salivation may be caused by certain conditions that need to be ruled out to solve it definitely. You may be suffering from acid reflux, sinusitis, or other upper respiratory tract infections which may give you hypersalivation. If you feel anything else except this concern, see your family doctor for an objective examination. If you have stomach pain or heartburn take Omeprazole to reduce acid producing. Continue Glycopyrrolate for some days if hypersalivation really disturbs you but if no improvement comes, see your doctor. Take care and best wishes.
