Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have been suffering from granular pharyngitis for more than 60 days. Is it normal? I have consulted around four doctors, took antibiotics, tablet Montemac, and took tablets Pan 40 and Cyra-D for acid reflux. Apart from this, I used to gargle frequently. And I only eat boiled foods and avoid spicy and oily foods. So what could be the reason for the delay in curing my problem? Do I need to undergo laboratory tests? Is there something I should worry about? Please give your opinion.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern. However, I have a few questions. 1. Could you elaborate on the symptoms that you encounter? 2. What kind of trouble is it giving you? 3. Is it only the redness, or is there pain, difficulty swallowing, throat irritation, or itching? 4. Can you share the treatment details you have taken? So that I can review them and institute a different one rather than repeating the same course of medicines. 5. Is there fever or choking associated with this problem? 6. Do you smoke or drink? If so, what is the frequency? Do you use cigarettes or beedi? 7. What is your occupation? Do you get exposed to dust and pollution? 8. Do you have allergies or respiratory issues? 9. Do you have any sinus congestion? 10. Is there facial pressure, nose block, decreased sense of smell, headaches, etc.? Chronic pharyngitis could be due to tonsilitis, rhinitis, sinusitis, nasopharynx problem, sleep apnea, reflux, acidity, etc. We must rule them out one by one and plan the treatment accordingly. Providing more details, a better description of your problem, and sharing past treatment records will let us help you better. I hope this helps. Kindly follow up with the answers. Take care.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
