Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am suffering from beard hair loss patch or ringworm. It is also itchy. I applied Clotrimazole for one month (day and night) but nothing changed. Please suggest to me the right medication.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have seen your query and concern and examined your picture (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity). It seems you have alopecia areata is a nonscarring type of hair loss that can affect any hair-bearing area and can manifest in many different patterns. Alopecia areata can affect any hair-bearing area, and more than one area can be affected at once. The frequency of involvement at particular sites is as follows:
Anxiety and stressful life events in the six months before onset. You can go for local injections of Triamcinolone acetonide 5 mg/ml over the scalp and 2.5 mg/ml over the face intralesional intradermal 0.1 ml once in a three weeks interval should be given by dermatologist only, usually required two to three sittings depending on the response. You can try Fluocinolone acetonide cream 0.2 percent during the morning and 0.03 percent tacrolimus during the night over for a month.
I hope this helps you.
Thank you.
