Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
I struggled to swallow one day about a month ago because the food was dry. I did not take it seriously initially. Gradually, I found it difficult to swallow anything due to the dryness in my throat. I have increased my water intake, and I brush, rinse my mouth, and scrape my tongue after every meal. I even tried the dry mouth lozenges. I struggle to swallow my food. I also have bad breath even after brushing. Previously, the bad breath would go away with simple brushing, but now that does not seem to work. I am not under any medications. Please help.
Thank you.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I have read your query, and can understand your concern.
I can understand that bad breath or chronic halitosis is a major concern and can be embarrassing. I do not know the exact composition of the toothpaste you use. Would you help identify its composition or ingredients? Also, kindly share the details on the mouthwash you use. Since you are not under any medication, it is unlikely that your oral issue is linked to any issues related to general health. From the symptoms you have shared, I think there might be some local bacterial infection, and hence you might need immediate assistance with antibiotic prophylaxis and some vitamins. I also suggest a change in the toothpaste and mouthwash that you use.
I hope I have answered your query. Please revert in case of further queries.
Thank you.
