What causes low resting heart rate while taking Propranolol?

Hi doctor,

I have been prescribed Norditropin at 0.5 mg every three times a week. My problem is that I have a low resting heart rate, 38-55 when resting, and I noticed the side effects list includes a slow heartbeat. I asked my doctor about this, and he said it was not a problem. Could you give me a little more information, please? I am currently taking Propranolol 7.5 mg for anxiety.

Please help.

I just read your query, and from what you have mentioned, it appears that your low heart rate could be because of Propranolol that you are taking for anxiety, as mentioned by you, and not due to Norditropin per say. However, it could be caused by an enhanced effect of Propranolol and Norditropin. Therefore, I suggest you consult your psychiatrist and get Propranolol reduced or changed as soon as possible.
