Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had my period last month, and my cycle is typically 33 days long, sometimes 34. One week before, I noticed a drop of blood in my underwear, followed by another drop a couple of hours later. After two days, I observed one more drop of blood. However, I did not get my period. Despite testing for pregnancy, the result was negative. Throughout this time, I experienced a headache and a few other symptoms, like gas and fatigue, but nothing else. Three days later, I got my period, and the flow was heavy, at least three times more than usual. I also passed large blood clots, each the size of my index finger, and the period lasted for six days. My gynecologist suggested that this might have been an early miscarriage. Can you please explain if this aligns with that diagnosis?

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thanks for reaching out to icliniq. I am very sorry to hear about your medical condition. Do not worry; I am here to take care of you.

No, I do not think this is an early miscarriage. Rather, it is a hormonal imbalance that caused your last menstrual cycle, which was scanty, to become compensated in your current menstrual cycle with heavy flow and clot formation. May I ask if you could do a hormone profile test and reply to me with the result? Also, I believe that you may have acute stress disorder, which may contribute to delayed menses based on symptoms like headache, bloating, and fatigue. So, get some bed rest, and consider taking yoga classes. Schedule another appointment for a follow-up via chat, phone, or video consultation.

I hope this information helps you.

Thanks for using icliniq, and have a nice day.
