How to manage headache and nausea due to dietary changes?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hi,

I have symptoms like headache, acidity, nausea, and reflux. I get episodes of headache once or twice a week. I have had a burning sensation and discomfort in my chest for the last two months. I took allopathic treatment but only got relief for six to seven days. Please help and suggest any dietary modifications needed.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern. You might be suffering from chronic hyperacidity. A healthy lifestyle and dietary restrictions are essential to control your symptoms. I have a few suggestions for you- You must avoid oily and spicy food, you must avoid junk food and fast food, you must avoid eating curd, sour food, bakery products, and fermented foods, you must eat a meal at a regular time, you must include cow's ghee and buttermilk in your diet and you must avoid day sleeping and late night sleeping. If all these measures do not work then you revert to me, I can suggest some medicines for you. Thank you.
