Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 17-year-old male suffering from headaches every morning after I wake up. I get dizzy upon standing up suddenly, and my eyesight gets blurry with a heavy head. I am concerned if it is serious. Kindly help.

Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Based on the symptoms described, you may have low blood sugar levels or low blood pressure immediately upon waking up due to low-calorie intake on the previous night. It can also be due to fast metabolism, prolonged sleep, low water intake, and subsequent dehydration.

I suggest you follow the below-mentioned instructions.

  1. Consume complex carbohydrates like whole grains just before sleeping and drink plenty of water.
  2. If your sleep is prolonged, then complete seven to eight hours and gradually get up after lying 10 minutes in bed.
  3. Eating or drinking a light snack before having a wholesome breakfast can help.
  4. Avoid alcohol and smoking.
  5. Avoid caffeine intake in all forms.
  6. Try doing yoga or meditation as a daily routine.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you.
