Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I have had a bulge on my left leg below my knee for the past five days. It is painful to touch but does not increase in size. What is the reason?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

You have an infected furuncle. It is a painful, pus-filled bump that forms under your skin due to bacterial infection and inflammation of one or more hair follicles. Do you have diabetes? I suggest (consult with a specialist doctor, talk with him or her and take medicines with their consent) the following medications for five days;

1. Tablet Pan 40 (Pantoprazole) once daily before breakfast.

2. Tablet Ciprofloxacin 500 mg twice daily.

3. Tablet Combiflam (Diclofenac) twice daily.

4. Tablet Chymoral Forte twice daily.

5. Appy T Bact (Mupirocin) ointment twice daily.

Consult your doctor to clean the pus and dressing.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

What is the reason for my condition? Is it due to the hot weather in my country? I have boils on my legs. I do not have diabetes. Are the medications available over the counter?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes, it occurs due to heat and staphylococcus infection in the hair follicles. Consult your doctor for a prescription.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
