Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am not pooping every day. When I poop on the other day, I have blood. But I did not mind it. When I pooped earlier, I got blood again. Initially, I thought it as periods. On seeing the amount of blood, then I realized that it is coming from my butt. I do not have pain. What is the cause? I need a cure. This is my first time to have this issue. I love eating spicy foods. Do spicy foods trigger it?

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. Your symptoms are mostly caused due to internal hemorrhoids. Hemorrhoidal disease occurs as a result of inadequate fiber and water intake. Having a change in lifestyle and bathroom habits can help to have some relief from symptoms. I suggest you follow these measures. Have adequate fiber supplement five to twenty grams a day. Take adequate water of two liters per day. Avoid sitting for more than two minutes in the toilet. Having a squatting position helps in emptying the rectum. Significant bleeding should be treated by consulting a doctor soon.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
