What dietary changes can support health and energy?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had low iron levels, but after getting iron injections, iron levels improved, but tiredness and low energy persist, impacting daily life. Vitamin D levels have also improved with supplements, yet fatigue continues.

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I can understand your concern.

Your ferritin level is high, but your body may still be adjusting after your previous iron deficiency. It can take time to recover from fatigue, even after correcting iron levels. High ferritin can also be linked to inflammation, which might be causing ongoing tiredness.

Your vitamin D is now better but still on the lower side. Keeping up with your vitamin D supplements may help improve your energy and mood. Additionally, checking your thyroid function and managing stress is important, as these factors can also affect energy levels. If fatigue continues, it is best to see a doctor for a thorough examination.

I hope you got an answer.

Please let me know if you need any further help.

Thank you.
