Will IUI treatment work for me?

This Premium Q&A, reviewed and published, features a real conversation between an iCliniq user and a physician.

Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am a 27-year-old female. Please evaluate my HSG reports and let us know if there are any complications.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have gone through your history and reports and understand your concerns (attachment removed to protect patient identity). In your report, the right side tube is patent and the left side tube is blocked. So, you have to get your treatment for the same.

Please let me know why you have done this test.

Regards.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

My gynecologist asked me to do an HSG test as a regular checkup since I am looking for pregnancy. I have done my follicular test too and it shows I ovulate from the right side on my own. Also, all my blood parameters are normal including thyroid, FSH, LH, and AMH. Please suggest what I should do now. Also, I would like to know if IUI treatment will work for me or should I opt for surgery?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

In your case, as all your reports are normal and only your left fallopian tube is blocked, you can try normally for your pregnancy. You can go for the opening of the left side fallopian tube with the help of HSG. You can try normally as one tube is patent or you can go for IUI (intrauterine insemination) also.

Hope you found this suggestion useful. Good luck.

Regards.
