Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I underwent a dental procedure last week and was prescribed two 5mg Diazepam tablets to take prior to the procedure. The last dose of Diazepam I took was on Tuesday morning, which was five days ago. I would like to know if it is safe for me to take a tablet of Co-codamol for pain relief. The reason behind this is that I believe my previous temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder has flared up again, and Co-codamol used to be the only painkiller that provided relief. I have been suffering from TMJ disorder for the past 11 years, and the last flare-up was seven years ago. Currently, I am not taking any other medications. My height is 5 feet 5 inches, and I weigh approximately 200 pounds. Thank you.
