Patient's Query
Hi doctor,
My mother is a 55-year-old woman. Please check her ultrasound and right kidney. The cortical echogenicity is slightly normal? What does it mean why the cortical echogenicity is slightly normal? Why is it not fully normal? What is the issue? My mother has had sugar and hypertension for three years but is taking medicine and controlling it.
Please help me.
Thanks.
Hi,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
I am very sorry about your mother's medical condition. Regarding your mother's ultrasound (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), I believe she has developed a slight kidney problem that has affected her cortical area, but it is not serious. I believe this may have arisen from her hypertension and diabetes. Please let her take the following antihypertensive medication and stop other hypertension medicines. Take the tablet Losartan 80 mg once daily for one week. Stay away from sugary food, keep adequately hydrated, and restrict salt and heavy protein food. Reply to me if you have more concerns or questions.
Feel free to follow up with any further questions or concerns.
Thank you.
