Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I had a scar on my right eyelid, and it was removed. It was exactly in the middle of my eyelid, and my iris was right under it when I closed my eyes. The doctor told me not to worry, and they did a light laser over it. They did not use eye covers. Now I am worried about how it will affect my eyes as I had done it without eye covers. Are there certain symptoms I should keep a watch on? Please help. Thank you.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have read your query and understand your concern.

From your description, I understand they treated the scar with a laser. Then the laser went just to the skin of the eyelid and did not enter the eye. If the laser enters the eye by any chance, you will feel something wrong. You may feel eye pain, redness of the eye, watery eye, sensation to light, blurred vision, etc., or anything wrong compared with the normal eye. I do not think there is any problem because the laser probably did not enter the eye. If you are always worried, follow up with your doctor or check the eye with other ophthalmologists. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
