Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Will without thyroid gland reduce lifespan? Is Levothyroxine harmful to liver and kidney? Is synthetic Levothyroxine mechanism different from the original? How T4 converts to T3? What is the side effect? Can I marry someone? I am a lady. Will I conceive? I have no cancer after nodule operation. I have a suspicious follicular adenoma.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I just read your query and I would like to answer your questions one by one.

1. No, being without thyroid gland will not reduce lifespan.

2. No, Levothyroxine is not harmful to liver and kidney.

3. Synthetic Levothyroxine mechanism is not different from the original.

4. T4 converts to T3 by an enzyme present in the body. There are no side effects.

And of course, you can marry someone and conceive if you are on correct treatment.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
