Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Three years ago, I had an injury in the Lisfranc joint and metatarsal bones due to a fracture of my foot. I have a history of pregnancy twice, asthma, arthritis, and mental health issues. I fractured my left foot several times and underwent surgery twice. I am taking tablet Naproxen. I took an X-ray and MRI. I have attached my reports. Should I place a permanent or temporary disc on my foot? Please help.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Please provide pictures of your foot.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

I have attached the pictures.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

From the reports attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), the fixation done is perfect. It is a dislocation of small joints in the foot. This dislocation involves the rupture of ligaments. Surgery can fix the bone but not ligaments, and with time, these ligaments heal themselves. So there could be some unstability or pain. So MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) is required to diagnose ligament injury and osteoarthritis. Could you please send a picture of your feet from the front and backside?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor for the reply,

I am unable to take a picture from the backside. I have attached a weight-bearing image of my feet. You can see a difference behind the scar on my left foot. What are the treatment methods for treating tendonitis?

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

You have sent only the images taken from the top. From the images attached (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity), your left foot appears flat due to an injury in the ligaments. Conservative management like foot exercise and physiotherapy is enough. If it does not recover, ligament reconstruction is necessary. Kindly ask someone to click a picture from behind.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
