Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I am 61 years old and had a liver transplant. So far, my condition is good overall. I am more interested in improving my medical condition and want to improve others' as well for their future well-being.

My questions are:

1. Can I benefit from these supplements or treatments in combination with the prescribed medicines?

a. Stem-cell treatment?

b. CBD oil from Cannabis?

c. PQQ?

d. Fungus like Shiitake, Reishi, and Agaricus Murell?

e. Colloidal silver?

f. Ozone or oxygen treatment?

Thanks in advance for your time and effort.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Post-liver transplant, you will be on immunosuppressive medicines. The blood level of these medicines needs to be well maintained for adequate graft survival.

It is always better to avoid unnecessary medicines or supplements as most of them mentioned above may not have any proven benefit. Further, they can potentially interaction with immunosuppressive medicines.

You need to follow the advice of your primary transplant team strictly.

I hope your queries have been cleared.
