Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

My sex drive is low, and currently, I do not have a desire for it. Although I love my husband, I feel less desire for intercourse. Kindly suggest any medicine for me to boost my sexual desire. I am taking Eltroxin 100 and Femilon tablets once daily.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Low sex drive in females can occur due to several reasons. You are on Eltroxin (Levothyroxine sodium) 100 mcg, and if your thyroid levels are still in the hypothyroidism range, then this could be the reason for your low sex drive. Get your thyroid levels done to rule out this. Hypothyroidism results in a dry vagina, leading to a low sex drive. Spend more time in foreplay, and this should improve your problem.

Thank you.
