Medical Conditions - Mastoiditis

Mastoiditis refers to the inflammation or infection of the mastoid cells as a result of a middle ear infection. The bacteria from the middle ear travels to air cells of the mastoid bone, causing an infection. Some of the symptoms include fever, ear lobe swelling, redness and tenderness behind the ear, and drainage from the ear.
