Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I had a D and C yesterday, and my hormones are driving me crazy. So I have a question, can I masturbate using clitoral stimulation to calm the feelings?

In addition, I have PCOS. Can I start taking the tablet Ovacare forte, as we would like to try for pregnancy again as soon as my period comes back? Also, before pregnancy, I was on Metformin and Spironolactone.

Please give your suggestions.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I went through your query and understood your concern.

After D and C (dilation and curettage), it takes 3 to 4 days for the hormones to bounce back to normal. You can try masturbation after 1 to 2 days until the bleeding settles. However, it is not advisable to start immediately. Ovacare forte (nutritional supplement) can be started next week onwards. Try to take a protein-rich diet and consume low carbohydrates. Also, do aerobics and muscle training exercises.

I hope this was helpful.

Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

Thank you for your reply.

1. Can I take Ovacare from next week?

2. Do you think I should start taking Metformin and Spironolactone again?

Please answer.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Yes. Next week should be fine. You can start Metformin (antihyperglycemic drug) as well. But do not take Spironolactone (potassium-sparing diuretic).

I hope this has helped you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
