Patient's Query

Hello Doctor,

I am a 27-year-old female weighing 64 kg. I delivered my baby last month and got my period this month. I have pain and bleeding with lochia. I am taking Faa-20 iron supplements once a day, prescribed by my gynecologist. Kindly suggest.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern. I suggest you answer the following questions:

1. How do you know it is lochia?

2. Did you see any sacs or membranes?

I also suggest you do the following tests to check your pregnancy status:

1. Serum beta-hCG test

2. Transvaginal scan.

If the pregnancy test is positive with or without bleeding. I suggest you consult a gynecologist for further evaluation. If the pregnancy test is negative, I suggest you take the tablets Ponstan (Mefenamic acid) 500 mg and Tranexamic acid (antifibrinolytic agent) 500 mg thrice a day for three to five days.

I hope this helps you.

Thank you.

The Probable causes

Re-conception or dysfunctional uterine Bleeding.

Investigations to be done

beta-hCG test, transvaginal scan.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
