Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

My daughter is 3 years old. She weighs about 26.4 pounds. She is getting stomach pain for the last one week. I consulted a doctor and advised Cyclopam syrup and Lanzol junior 15 mg tablet for five days. But after finishing this course, she is also getting stomach pain in the evening or the early morning. Please advise us on this.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

First, we need to find the cause of pain? This could be functional or secondary to some illnesses. Did you look for constipation, vomiting, or urine complaints? How are her activities? Is there any problem during sleep? Please reply.

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

No vomiting, constipation, nor urine problems. No problems during sleep. We have consulted the doctor, and he advised the same, but it is not controlled. Later, the doctor has advised us to go for an ultrasound, and we did it. Based on the scan report doctor has said due to nodes (mesenteric lymphadenopathy), she is getting pain and now advised us to give Oflex 100 for five days. But yesterday, again, she is getting more pain in the evening and could not be controlled after giving Cyclopam. We are worried about what to do next. Will pain go off from the Oflox 100, and what to do next if she is getting more pain in the evening or night time. Please advise.

I have attached the scan reports and other details.

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Normally, we see functional pain in children, almost 70 %, which does not require treatment. But in your child's case, we see mesenteric lymphadenopathy, which can cause abdominal pain. You should give a combination of drugs for five days. Give her syrup Normet (Ofloxacin +Ornidazole) one teaspoon twice daily for five days, Lanzol junior (Lansoprezole) (one tablet once in the morning for three days, syrup Ibugesic plus (Ibuprofen+ Paracetamol) one teaspoon two times a daily for three days (after meals).

Also, is the pain spasmodic or continuous?

Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Do we need to give Oflox 100 or Normet or Cyclopam or Ibugesic plus?

Hello,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

Give Normet (Ofloxacin and Ornidazole), Ibugesic (Ibuprofen and Paracetamol), and Junior Lanzol (Lansoprazole) only. Let me know after 48 hours.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
