Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I would like to know about mesothelioma. Kindly explain.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com. I understand your concern. Mesothelioma is a type of cancer that develops after long-term asbestos exposure. Mine Asbestos workers are at risk of mesothelioma. More than 40 years of exposure might be required before it occurs. Clinically, it is also important to look for symptoms like cough, chest pain, or breathlessness. If there are no symptoms, there is no need to worry about anything. In case of doubts, an X-ray of the chest or CT (computed tomography) scan of the thorax can be done to rule out mesothelioma. Therefore, I can assure you that single exposure to asbestos can never cause this type of cancer, and there is no need to worry about anything. I hope this helps. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
