Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a little embarrassed but I am a user of ice. It has been 12 hours since I have had any. My skin has become hot and red in some areas, but some areas are cold. I am feeling weak and I have a headache. I am breathing hard right now. Should I be worried about this?
Thank you.
HI,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I can understand your concern.
ICE (Crystal Methamphetamine) is a potent vasoconstrictor and a highly addictive drug. It can cause severe hypertension, stroke, heart attack, kidney failure, blindness, etc. In the long run, it can cause the destruction of teeth and weakness in cardiac muscles. I would suggest you try to abstain from it or else it will destroy your life.
Your symptoms of coldness might be due to vasoconstriction. I would recommend you visit the emergency department to check your blood pressure, heart rate, and ECG.
Thank you.
