Miliaria

Blocked eccrine sweat ducts lead to skin eruptions called miliaria or prickly heat or heat rash. They most commonly occur in hot and humid climatic conditions. Hospitalized patients and neonates are more prone to acquire this skin condition. Miliaria crystallina, rubra, and profunda are three types of miliaria. Cool water compress, antiseptics, topical steroids, and calamine lotion offer relief from its symptoms.
