Patient's Query

Hi doctor,

I took an oral contraceptive pill and got my period on the fourth day. On the seventh day of my period, my boyfriend rubbed his penis on my vaginal opening and clitoris though he did not ejaculate. My expected date for periods was gone, but still, I did not get my period. Yesterday I also went for a urine pregnancy test in the afternoon, and it was negative, but still, I have not got my period. I am confused and worried. Help me.

Thank you.

Hi,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I read your query and understand your concern.

An emergency pill is a high dose of progesterone hormone that is produced in your body in the second half of the period after ovulation. This pill will suddenly increase the thickness of the inner lining of the uterus, making it unfavorable for a possible pregnancy to sit. As it is a single dose, it has no strength to stand on, so it falls off and you get period or bleeding of the increased thickness within seven to ten days. These hormone pills make the hormone imbalance and periods irregular. Once you say the urine test is negative, there is no chance of pregnancy. Now to have periods, take any of the oral contraceptive pills (birth pills of twenty-one pills).

  • Tablet Novelon (Desogestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol) or Ovral-G (Ethinyl Estradiol and Norgestrel).

  • Dear 21 or Duoluton-L (Ethinyl Estradiol and Levonorgestrel).

  • Intimacy plus three (Desogestrel and Ethinyl Estradiol) - take one tablet twice a day for ten days (throw away the last pill), you will have periods within seven to ten days.

Thank you for consulting me.
