Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

Me and my boyfriend had sex once (with a condom) and fingering, and ever since about 5 months ago, I have not had my periods yet. About two months after I stopped having my menstrual cycle. I did a pregnancy test which came out negative and also (for stomach pain) did an ultrasound of the uterus, in which the doctor did not say anything about it looking like I was pregnant. Is it possible that I am pregnant even though the test was negative and the doctor did not see anything?

Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

Thank you for your query.

I am very sorry about your medical condition. Do not worry I am here to take care of you. Based on the sexual activities you mentioned I do not think you are pregnant. I think you have irregular menses due to hormone imbalance. Please do a hormone profile test and reply to me with the result. Also, I believe that the doctor will tell you if you are pregnant. So I will advise you to do the pregnancy test and ultrasound in another diagnostic center.

I hope this helps. Thank you.
