Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I have a big spot on my chest, brown colored with hair. How do I cure this, and how much will it cost?

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I have reviewed the information and image (attachment removed to protect the patient's identity) provided by your end, and I understand your concern. Nevus is basically a mole on the body and may contain hair on the same. Before removing them, I suggest you consult a doctor in person, as all moles need to be tested to check for normal cells and rule out any changes in the cells on the nevus, usually done by a dermatologist. Apart from the same, once they are tested and within normal limits, they are usually removed by laser therapy like Q switch lasers which are usually done in sessions of five or six once every three or four weeks wherein the laser beams penetrate through the skin destroying the melanin pigment cells on the affected areas. Their cost depends and may range from 5000 to 10,000 per session. They also may depend on the clinic or hospital where it is being done. Apart from the same, your doctor may prescribe medications post-procedure. However, the first and foremost step would be to have them tested by direct consultation.

Thank you.
