Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I woke up this morning to go to school. When I lifted my head and looked right, I heard a big pop, and the left side of my neck and upper shoulder are sore. I have been icing and heating it. I need this to heal soon as possible as I have a hockey match coming up.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

After careful analysis of the history provided, I would like to say that you are having a neck strain, which probably resulted in torticollis. Having said that, I would like to also mention that it would take time to heal. It is basically a tear in the muscle and a few structures around your neck and it would take time to heal, not more than two weeks. Also, it is not dangerous, so do not worry and be patient. As of now, you need to continue with the hot and cold application maneuver. Start applying Diclofenac with Menthol ointment on the area twice daily for five days. Take tablet Diclofenac with Serratiopeptidase twice daily for one week after food, capsule Pantoprazole 40 mg twice daily before food for one week, and tablet Thiocolchicoside twice daily after food for five days. Follow the above advice and it would fasten the healing and provide quick relief. Do not worry. All the best in your sports event. Hoping it would be a week away. Stay healthy and positive.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
