Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am 18 years old. Three months ago, I got a sharp pain in my left arm. After a couple of minutes, I also started to feel it in my chest. The pain was there for a week, and I could not even lie down. After that, it subsided on its own. However, the pain keeps occurring frequently. Is the pain due to a heart problem? I am very scared. Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern and would be happy to help. You must have slept in an awkward posture or carried a heavy load with your left hand. It is a minor complaint. There is nothing to worry about. I suggest you follow the treatment plan below. Take the tablet of Ibuprofen once daily after eating for five days. Use a Spray containing Diclofenac, Methyl salicylate, Linseed oil, and Menthol to be sprayed locally over the affected area.
I also suggest you use a small pillow under the head while sleeping. If the pain persists, get an ECG (electrocardiogram) and a cervical spine X-ray (anteroposterior and left lateral views). I hope this helps. Kindly revert in case of further doubts. Thank you.
