Patient's Query

Hello doctor,

I am 18 years old. Three months ago, I got a sharp pain in my left arm. After a couple of minutes, I also started to feel it in my chest. The pain was there for a week, and I could not even lay down. After that, it subsided on its own. However, the pain keeps occurring frequently. Is the pain due to a heart problem? I am very scared. Kindly help.

Hello,

Welcome to icliniq.com.

I understand your concern and would be happy to help. You must have slept in an awkward posture or carried a heavy load with your left hand. It is a minor complaint. There is nothing to worry about. I suggest you follow the below treatment plan. Take Tablet Advil (Ibuprofen) once daily after food for five days. Use Spray Volini (Diclofenac, Methyl Salicylate, Linseed Oil, and Menthol) to be sprayed locally over the affected area. I also suggest you use a small pillow under the head while sleeping. If the pain persists, get an ECG (electrocardiogram) and a cervical spine X-ray (anteroposterior and left lateral views). I hope this helps. Kindly revert in case of further doubts. Thank you.

Same symptoms don't mean you have the same problem. Consult a doctor now!
