Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am a 30-year-old female. How will my past health affect my chances of getting sick with Mycoplasma pneumonia, especially with the recent disease outbreak? Can you help me understand how respiratory infections work and how they are related to my overall health experience? I had a COVID-19 infection last year. Does that make me more likely to get Mycoplasma pneumonia? What signs should I look out for in our area, given the local diseases going around? What can I do to stay healthy? How common is the infection here, and what can I do to protect myself? Considering my health problems, could this infection make things worse? Lastly, what can I do to keep my lungs healthy and avoid getting sick during this outbreak?
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I am here to help you get the best medical advice.
Actually, if a healthy person had some chronic infection in the past, and if their immune system is weak, then the chance of getting a new infection increases. But if you recover completely, then you will not get the infection easily. Respiratory infection spreads through the air so if you come in contact with someone who is having cough or sneezing, then the chance of getting infection increases. So, to avoid these things, we should protect ourselves by covering our faces while going out and maintaining distance from the infected person.
You should have a good diet to maintain your immune system. If your immune system is good, then you will not catch infection easily. Do not stay hungry for a long time. Take high high-protein diet, drink juices and soups throughout the day, and your body will be fine.
I wish you good health.
Thank you.
