Patient's Query

Thank you doctor,

Yes, I do consume alcohol that too very less. I have gained weight by four legs in the last two months. My weight is 77 kg and height is 5.8 feet.

Kindly help.

Hi,

Welcome back to icliniq.com.

So, in that case, I would say you have a non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. I am considering that you take alcohol very occasionally. The most common causes of such fatty liver disease are alcohol, viral hepatitis, non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, and drugs. I would advise you to get the following investigations done:

  1. HBsAg for hepatitis B.
  2. Anti-HCV antibody for hepatitis C.

In case you are taking any medicine that would require reconsideration. Reduce weight and walk after all meals. Do regular exercises.

For more information, consult a medical gastroenterologist online.

Thank you.
