Patient's Query
Hello doctor,
I am experiencing inflammation of the penis. After sexual activity, and sometimes randomly, I feel pain at the tip of the penis as well as on both the left and right sides. Occasionally, there is a colorless discharge even without sexual activity. During episodes of pain, I also feel dizziness and weakness. How to manage this?
Kindly advise.
Hello,
Welcome to icliniq.com.
I understand your concern.
I am very sorry about your medical condition, and I am glad that you are paying attention to changes in your body. Please do not worry, as we are here to help you. Regarding your symptoms, I understand that they are disturbing, but let us look at this professionally. You have pain and inflammation around the tip of the penis after sexual activity, and based on this, I suspect a sexually transmitted infection (STI), most likely non-gonococcal urethritis.
I recommend doing a urine culture test and sharing the results. In the meantime, please take the following treatment:
Injection Ceftriaxone 1 gram once daily for one week.
Metronidazole 400 milligrams (mg), two tablets orally three times daily for two weeks.
I would suggest the following measures:
Ensure your partner is screened for any genital infection.
Use condoms during this period of treatment to avoid re-infection.
Take daily immune boosters to strengthen your defense against infection.
Drink plenty of water and exercise regularly to improve blood and fluid circulation in the body and reduce the risk of infection.
I hope you are satisfied with my answer. For further queries, you can consult me at iCliniq.
Thank you.
